This Cookie Policy explains how LiteShop ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They perform functions such as remembering you between pages and visits. We also use similar technologies, including local storage, pixels, web beacons, SDKs, and server logs (together, "Cookies").

3. Who Controls Your Data

The controller for personal data collected via Cookies is LiteShop, registered in Serbia.

    Purpose: Enable core functionality such as page navigation, secure areas, authentication, and security. These cannot be switched off because the Platform will not function properly without them.
  • 4.2. Functional (Optional)
    Purpose: Remember choices such as language, region, and user preferences to enhance your experience.
  • 4.3. Analytics & Performance (Optional)
    Purpose: Help us understand usage, diagnose problems, and improve performance and features (e.g., page load times, most-used pages).
  • 4.4. Advertising & Measurement (Optional)
    Purpose: Deliver or measure ads and content relevance. LiteShop currently does not use targeted advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

5. Legal Bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Strictly Necessary: necessary for the performance of a contract (providing the Platform) and/or our legitimate interests in ensuring security and functionality. Functional, Analytics, Advertising: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via Cookie Settings. For certain analytics we may rely on legitimate interests where permitted and only after assessing necessity, proportionality, and user impact.

6. What Data We Collect via Cookies

Depending on your settings, Cookies may collect: device/browser type and settings, operating system, IP address (truncated where appropriate), timestamps, referrer/UTM parameters, session identifiers, pages viewed, actions taken (e.g., clicks), error logs, and approximate location derived from IP.

7. Retention and Duration

Session Cookies: expire when you close your browser or app. Persistent Cookies: stored for a defined period. We aim to keep: Strictly Necessary: up to 12 months, Functional: up to 12 months, Analytics: up to 13 months (or the shortest applicable period in your region), Advertising: up to 13 months (if enabled in the future).

We may use service providers that set Cookies or process Cookie-derived data for us, including:

If you disable Strictly Necessary Cookies, some parts of the Platform may not function correctly.

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. While there is no consistent industry standard for DNT, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required (e.g., in certain U.S. states) as a request to opt out of sale/sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for advertising purposes, GPC signals will be recorded and honored if that changes.

Where Cookie-derived personal data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and additional measures as needed.

Our Platform is not intended for children under the age of 16 (or lower age where permitted by local law). We do not knowingly use Cookies to profile children.
